The first time I left Oggi’s Pizza and Brewing Co. in Del Mar the owner, John Hadjis made it a point to ask me on my way out, “Are you Stuft?” As corny as that sounds, I really appreciated the fact that he meets and greets patrons. And yes, I was stuft. But just being “stuft” isn’t enough to recommend a restaurant. What sets Oggi’s Pizza apart from all the other pizza places is that they do more than just pizza.
For one, they brew their own (award-winning) beer. They also have THE most amazing salad. I have actually had dreams about their grilled chicken salad! It’s a combination of grilled chicken (of course) and a unique honey mustard dressing accented by mandarin oranges and cashews.

If you can’t get to Oggi’s Pizza and Brewing Company (with several locations in San Diego County) they will deliver. In fact, this is where they really shine. If you are ordering pizza from one of the big three (Dominos, Pappa John’s, or Pizza Hut) and then you order a Oggi’s pizza, it will be impossible to go back. It’s that good.
I realize this is a glowing review, and I should point out that some of their pasta dishes are less-than-stellar and because of their popularity, there may be a wait to be seated at peak hours.
